Feline patients who present with constipation are challenging and frustrating to manage. For those who develop megacolon, treatment alternatives are typically limited to surgical intervention. In this presentation, we will discuss the anatomy of the large intestines, the pathophysiology of constipation and megacolon, and when to use dietary and other interventions in the management of these diseases.
