Chelsea Bland Smith, DVM

Chelsea Bland Smith, DVM, is a 6th generation cattle producer from Kansas. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University in May 2006. She worked for many years in the animal and veterinary field before returning to school in 2013. She graduated from St. George's University in June 2017 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She opened up her own solo mobile mixed animal and exotics practice in September 2018 which is based out of Nashville, AR.

In July 2020 she took over a haul-in facility in Texarkana, of which she still has today. In April 2022, she purchased a mixed animal clinic in Nashville, AR. She continues to provide mobile services to many clients throughout Arkansas, Texas, & Oklahoma. In the last 5 years, she has provided large animal services to at least 25 counties in Arkansas, many which are on an annual basis. Her practice consists of about 40% livestock and horses, 40% small animal, and 10% exotics.

Her business name is Broken L Veterinary Services, which is a nod to her family since the Broken L portion of the name is actually her family brand. The Broken L brand is one of the first registered brands in Kansas and Dr. Bland is the 5th generation for the brand, which is still registered in Kansas.
