Dr. Chiara E Hampton is a boarded veterinary anesthesiologist. She graduated from Università degli Studi di Messina, Italy in 2008. She practiced as a small animal GP in Italy and then completed a residency in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia at Oregon State University as well as a Master’s in Comparative Veterinary Sciences. She has held the position of Assistant Professor in Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia at the School of Veterinary Medicine of Louisiana State University until 2021, and then joined the CVM UTK family at the Large Animal Sciences Department. Dr. Hampton’s professional interests include the advances of medical knowledge in swine practices related to welfare, stress, pain management, and transfusion medicine.
