Sue Ettinger, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology)

Dr. Sue Ettinger, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology), widely recognized as Dr. Sue Cancer Vet®, brings over two decades of expertise in veterinary oncology to her position at Guardian Veterinary Specialists in Brewster, New York. She is among the 500 board-certified medical oncologists in North America. Her comprehensive training was completed at the Animal Medical Center in New York City.

Dr. Ettinger is not only a seasoned clinician but also a 2019 Western Veterinary Conference Small Animal Continuing Educator of the Year. She is a well-regarded speaker internationally, an author, and a staunch advocate for cancer awareness with her initiative, "See Something, Do Something, Why Wait? Aspirate.®", aimed at promoting early detection of cancer.

On social media, Dr. Sue connects with a wide audience, including 50,000 followers on Instagram, 47,000 on Facebook, and 25,000 on YouTube, providing valuable information and support to pet owners and fellow veterinary professionals.

Beyond her professional life, Dr. Sue enjoys being a mother to two teenage boys and spending quality time with her energetic yellow Labrador, Penelope. An enthusiast of running and traveling, she finds joy in travel, especially to tropical beach destinations where she can unwind and recharge.
