Canine Rehabilitation Technician
Texas A&M
I have been in veterinary medicine since 1984. I was part of the Texas vocational education program in high school. I have worked in prmary care, specialty care, emergency, and critical care. I found a passion for rehabilitation back in 2006 and decided to train with the Canine Rehabilittaion Institute. I graduated in 2006 and have been doing rehabilitation full time since then. I love the mental challenge of rehabilitation and the relationship it builds with the clients.
I have been a part of several rehab facilities.I started one in North Carolina, then moved to Arizona with my husband and children where I started 2. It was an unexpected surprise when A&M contacted me to be a part of their team. I love the opportunites that this has brought myself and our patients.
In addition to my patients, I have always had a passion for my coworkers and their wellbeing. In 2022 I decided to enroll in the UTCVM Veterinary Social Work Program, where I graduated in 2024. I gained a lot of valuable knowledgs to support my coworkers and clients through this program and look forward to being a beacon of wellness in our community.
