Rebecca is a Registered Veterinary Technician with 22 years of experience in small animal emergency, specialty, and primary care practice. She completed her undergraduate studies in chemistry at the University of Colorado at Denver and became a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care in 2014. Rebecca has been active within the industry as an international speaker, author, RECOVER ALS instructor, and clinical leader: among other various pursuits. Her professional clinical interests include lung disease and mechanical ventilation, nursing management of the septic and coagulopathic patient, all things anesthesia and pain management, as well as trauma stabilization, CPR, and acute kidney injury recognition and prevention strategies. She has years of dedicated interests in teaching, clinical mentorship, adult learning and professional development, animal welfare, mental health awareness, and client education. She founded a training and consulting firm specializing in real-time clinical touchpoints and has a passion for clinical teaching and mentorship.
Rebecca shares her life with one amazing, fluffy cat named Red Cloud and one adventurous English Pointer named Orion.
