This session will review current insulin and dietary recommendations for diabetic dogs and cats. We will introduce and discuss newer insulin preparations being used in veterinary medicine, including insulin degludec and insulin glargine U-300. The session will also include case examples relating to diabetic monitoring test interpretation and treatment adjustments, including use of the FreeStyle Libre system.
