Skin diseases can be challenging for the veterinary professional and upsetting to shelter patrons, lay staff, and volunteers who lack the medical knowledge to understand what they see. This discussion teaches the diagnostics, management, and utilization of lay staff to educate shelter patrons and dispel harmful assumptions about patient conditions.
